With millions of people deciding to try out Midjourney's AI generator in recent months, and companies around the world using OpenAI's ChatGPT to generate everything from coding to customer support responses, scripts and more, it's no surprise that both can be applied in the world of food.
Lately, you may have seen hilarious AI-generated movie scripts popping up on your social media feeds. Likewise, Los Angeles developer Dan LeVale decided to commission ChatGPT to create the "world's worst restaurant" and Midjourney to illustrate its chef ("ChefGPT") and menu options.
The results are more than entertaining and include dishes like moldy bread and mac and cheese, Wagyu beef martinis, "Octopi-Jello Surprise" (Jello is making a comeback, after all), and more. ChatGPT is also focusing on the issue of food waste, offering a "Trash Bin Temptation" option that is aimed at "eco-conscious foodies."
Oddities aside, the artificial intelligence came up with a jar of pickled cheese, which is actually not strange at all, considering that pickled cheeses are widespread throughout the world, and in the Czech Republic they often offer pickled Camembert.
