To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Twingo, Renault invites the public to reimagine the model using artificial intelligence (AI). In the digital-to-real process, Renault is bringing to life a show car based directly on the creations submitted by the public.
Arnaud Belloni, Global Marketing Director, says: “Artificial intelligence was once only available to the elite in technology, but today it is just three clicks away for everyone. This affordable technology allows anyone to unleash the power of their imagination. We wanted to pay tribute to the iconic Renault Twingo by giving everyone the opportunity to participate in the creative process. We will present the first show car created using artificial and human intelligence based on the designs we receive from the public."
“From February 1 to March 31, 2023, everyone will be able to create, imagine and invent Twingo as they see fit, using generative AI models such as Midjourney, Stable Diffusion and Dall-E.” - reads the press release.
It is not entirely clear whether users will have access to generative neural networks directly with the participation of Renault or whether they will have to go their own way, as they say. However, you can submit your own model redesign by posting it on your favorite social media platform using the hashtag #ReinventTwingo to enter the competition.
